What Is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to achieve fractional skin resurfacing without the downtime associated with fractional laser resurfacing. As the microneedling pins penetrate the epidermis, they deliver the RF energy directly downward into the dermis layer of the skin, where it then converts to heat. When the body senses heat in the dermis it assumes there has been a wound. It responds with a wound-healing mechanism of instantly remodeling the collagen in the area, and then initiating the production of new amounts of collagen and elastin to “heal” the perceived wound, although there actually is no wound. This dramatically improves skin tightness, tone, and texture over the course of the next four months.
